MONTEGO BAY, St James - STARTING in 2014 at the next annual general meeting (AGM) of the St James Football Association, delegates seeking to be elected to office must be nominated and seconded at least a week before the date of the elections.

Up to the recent AGM, delegates were nominated 'on the floor' on the date of the elections.

But a resolution that was easily passed at the elections will see a change to the practice.

The resolution that was moved by Oscar Irving, the coach of Reggae Youths FC, proposed that each position with the exception of the five council members be nominated 21 days prior to the elections and seconded a week before.

The resolution was passed with 69 delegates in favour, four against and five abstaining.
