LUCEA, Hanover - BELMONT Academy will be the only newcomer taking part in this morning's Hanover Credit Union's County of Cornwall Athletics Association's (COCAA) high school cross country championships to be hosted by Rusea's High school, set to start at 10:00 am.
Belmont Academy which is based in Westmoreland and Mannings School, also of Westmoreland, who are returning to the event after several years absence will join over 20 other schools in the event that will see six races being contested in three age groups for boys and girls.
The categories will be Under 14, Under-16 and Under-19.
The Under 14 girls will compete over the 3K distance; the Under-16 girls and Under-14 boys will compete over 4K; Under 19 girls and Under 16 boys will compete over the 5K distance while the Under 19 boys will contest the 6K distance.
Munro College Boys and St Elizabeth Technical girls will defend the team titles.
