FROME, Westmoreland — SANDALS Whitehouse stayed on course for their second title in three years after a big upset over Reno FC in the semi-finals of the Westmoreland Football Association's Roger Clarke Knockout at the Frome Sports Complex on Tuesday.

After the teams had played out a 0-0 draw in regular time, Clinton Samuels' goal in the 99th minute rocked the Western Confederation Super League team and propelled the Major League team to next Thursday finals, to be played at Frome.

Whitehouse's opponents in the finals will be Petersfield FC who beat Russia 3-1, despite ending the game with 10 players after Richardo Smith was sent off in the 81st minute.

Romario White scored twice for Petersfield, giving them the lead after 23 minutes for a half-time lead, then doubled it in the 61st minute.

Kevin Palmer pulled one back for Russia in the 68th minute but Andre Vassell put the game out of their reach in the 85th minute.
