Post prostate ...
Buckston and Huber's Alternative

A significant number of men who have done prostate surgeries have been asking me about the best herbs to improve their libido. So today I am putting together a collection of herbs that are very useful for these individuals.
Standard medical dictionaries describe the prostate as a chestnut- shaped collection of some 30- 50 glands located s located just below the bladder. A vital part of the male reproductive system, the prostate surrounds the beginning of the urethra, the canal that empties the bladder.
The secretion of the prostate is a milky fluid that is discharged into the urethra simultaneously as a man ejaculates.
There are many theories as to why this important collection of glands is so prone to cancers. However research shows that this killer is linked to
* Heavy use of animal fat and dairy products in the diet;
* Obesity;
* A decrease in the intake of zinc which is found in high quantities in nuts and grains;
* A decrease in the intake of green leafy vegetables; excessive use of caffeine and other drugs;
*The excessive use of oranges and of retinoid products such as Vitamin A compounds.
* Too much sex stimulation unaccompanied by ejaculation and
* Sexual promiscuity.
If one is to be guided by this research, the natural conclusion is that dietary measures have to be taken into consideration as a means of preventing prostate problems and post prostate surgeries.
Some of the measures I would recommend include the increase in the diet of zinc through the daily consumption of a teaspoon each of pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
I have often been approached about the use of guinea hen weed, but I would ask people to drink a cup of the tea two to three times for the week, thrice daily for a month. Take a month's break and repeat.
A two-day fast is also good for people who have prostate problems as this puts the body into a post molt which regenerates the body's cells.
I also recommend that regular time be spent sitting in a hot tub and that the groin be massaged regularly. Take bee pollen capsules according to the manufacturer's instructions and up the intake of foods that are high in high estrogen. These include apples, cherries olives, plums carrots parsely, sage, orgegano, alfalfa, coconut and wheat germ. Stay away from white rice!
Other useful herbs include Saw Palmetto; African pygeum; Juniper; Siczzandra, and burdock.
Yarrow as a tea is very good for early prostatic problems, while Buchu is good for soothing the urniary tract.
Lastly, but not least is the inclusion of exercise. As I have stressed on previus ocassions, exercise is am invaluable component of any health regime, so never neglect it!

From the mailbox:
Dear Buckston
I am interested to find out if there are any alternative treatments for hormone disorders such as prolactin imbalance and disfunction of the thyroid gland.
I was normally a slim person about 5ft 10 inches weighing between 130-140 lbs, which I know is normal. I suddenly gained weight and am now at about 210 pounds. Regardless of the nutritionists I have visited and diets I have taken coupled with exercise, I cannot seem to shake the weight. I am constantly exhausted. I know I had a Prolactin imbalance, which was being treated with Bromocriptine. I chose to discontinue the medications because of the terrible side effects I had. What can I do to control the weight gain, and hormone functions without taking the medications prescribed?

Dear Reader
Kelp and red marine algae are useful herbs for you. Additionally, stay away from fatty foods and oil.
