MONTEGO BAY, St James - The bail bonds of an elderly couple who were involved in a love triangle that went sour, were extended yesterday when they turned up in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrates Court.
Leroy Passley, a 53-year-old contractor of an Anchovy Estates address, and 48-year-old Carmeta Harvey turned up in court, but 29-year-old Sancia Francis of a Hartford, Westmoreland address - who has been in hospital since August nursing the extensive burns all over her body allegedly inflicted by Harvey was absent.
Allegations are that Passley and Harvey were at Passley's house on August 26 when Francis, who was also in a relationship with Passley, went there at about 9:00 pm.
Court records reveal that Francis threw stones on the windows to attract Passley, who got hit by one of them when he went outside armed with a machete to investigate.
It was alleged that Passley slapped Francis with the machete several times while Harvey poured a corrosive liquid all lover her body.
It was heard that Francis has since undergone several medical procedures including plastic surgery.
Passley and Harvey, who were charged with assault, had their bails extended while a warrant, the execution of which has been stayed until November 25 when the case will be mentioned, was ordered for Francis.
