MONTEGO BAY, St James - Two-time defending champions Wadadah FC will meet former champions Reno FC in the feature game of a triple-header at Jarrett Park on Sunday as the 2009-10 Captain's Bakery Jamaica Football Federation's Western Confederation Super League kicks off.

The competition will get underway following an opening ceremony starting at 3:00 pm.

For the first time, the competition will have all four former western Premier League champions taking part at the same time as Seba United and Violet kickers are also in the competition.

As chairman Linnell McLean had promised in the pre-season, the competition will return to a league format after two years.

In the previous two seasons, the format saw the top four teams on points play a semi-final and final to decide the winners.

This year, after the return round, the top eight teams will take part in a knock out, according to chairman of the Competitions Committee, Copeland Bailey.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Wadadah, who was given a reprieve after missing the deadline for entries, will start their defence against Reno, who were relegated from the Digicel Premier League at the end of last season.

Two of the four promoted teams will be in action in the first two games as Hanover's Prosper FC will take on former champions Granville in the 4:00 pm opener and Exidus of Trelawny and Seba United will meet at 6:00 pm.

The first set of games will be completed on Tuesday with three more games; Mt Pelier will host new-comers Petersfield at the Mt Pelier Community Centre; Frome host Catherine Hall of St James at Frome, while Bamboo and Violet Kickers will meet at Bamboo.
