BOUNTY KILLER FOR STAR JAM 2001
Popular deejay, Bounty Killer performs tonight in Montego Bay for the second time in two months.
On October 13, the ‘Killer’ performed at the Pier Madness Show at the Pier One entertainment complex. Tonight, he will take his act to the Caribbean Showplace, Ironshore in an event called ‘Star Jam 2001’.
The show, which is being staged by Sonny Ranking promotion and Caribbean Beach Park, will also feature the likes of Elephant Man, Ce’cile, Singing Melody, Mad Anju, Captain Barkey, Wikerman, Mackie Conscious and Boom Blast. Stone Love and King Midas will provide the music, while the popular dance group Guns ‘N’ Roses will add flavour to the event.
Admission is $500 and the show begins at 9 pm.
COMEDY FEST FOR HOLIDAY INN
A host of comedians will be on hand to entertain the expected large audience tomorrow night, at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Montego Bay. The event, which begins at 8 pm, is in aid of raising much-needed funds for the St James Infirmary.
Among the comedians down to perform are Owen ‘Blacka’ Ellis, Mass Jasper, Ity and Fancy Cat, Sammy Question, Apache Chief and Bobby Smith.
Admission is $800.
LOVE & MARRIAGE & NEW YORK CITY, HELD OVER
The romantic comedy, Love and Marriage and New York City now being played at the Fairfield Theatre, Montego Bay has been held over.
Douglas Prout, director of the production, told Entertainment out West that the show, which was scheduled to end tomorrow night, will run for another weekend.
“The play has been receiving rave reviews from theatre lovers and we want to give more people a chance to see it,” he said.
In addition to Prout, the cast includes Karen (Tiney Winey) Harriott, Bertina Macaulay and Mark Danvers.
Admission is $500 and the play starts at 8 pm.
FISH FRY EXTRAVAGANZA
The St James chapter of the Jamaica Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals presents a fish fry extravaganza at the St John’s Methodist Church Community Action Centre, corner of Duke Street and Humber Avenue, on Friday, November 30, starting at 3 pm.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the School of Hope for the Handicap and the St James Infirmary.
