Extended run for MLTM play
THEATRE lovers in Western Jamaica still have a chance to see the Montego Little Theatre Movement’s critically acclaimed production of David Heron’s romantic comedy, “Love and Marriage and New York City”.
The playing dates for the production has been extended. Originally planned to close this weekend, the show, which is being staged at the intimate Fairfield Theatre in Montego Bay, will go on until next weekend.
The story line examines the lives of Jamaicans from varying walks of life as they struggle to achieve ‘greener pastures’ in the Big Apple. It gives a sometimes touching, sometimes funny, yet always realistic view of what some of us are prepared to do to better ourselves.
The play features some of Jamaica’s brightest theatrical talents in the form of Mark Danvers, Karen Harriott, Douglas Prout and Bertina Macaulay.
Tickets are $500, and are available at Overton and Fontana Pharmacies, or at the door. The curtain opens at 8 pm nightly.
