ENTERTAINMENT OUT WEST
Divas in Concert tonight
The biggest talk on the entertainment scene in western Jamaica this weekend is no doubt the Divas in Concert show, slated for the lawns of the Rose Hall Great House tonight.
A source close to the show promoters, Buzz Production, said Thursday that ticket sales for the Montego Bay leg of the show was encouraging.
The show features international stars Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight. The reggae group I-Three will also appear on the show.
FAME FM’s Paula Ann Porter and Barry G of KLAS FM will do emcee duties.

New attraction opens next week
Another new attraction is to be added to Montego Bay’s entertainment roster.

The facility, which will be located next door to the Caribbean Showplace in Ironshore, will have its grand opening next Friday. Activities include skating demonstrations, marching bands and domino competitions. Patrons will also get a chance to see Santa on wheels, the Caribbean Show Girls and magicians performing a ‘bag’ of tricks.

North Trelawny high schools jam
Plans are in high gear for the inaugural staging of the Northern Trelawny high school jam, scheduled to take place next Saturday at Club Xclusive in Bounty Hall.
Three high schools in the region are down to perform at the show which promises to be filled with fun and excitement.
The schools are Muschette Comprehensive High, Cedric Titus High and William Knibb High.
According to event organiser, Jaslin Williams, support for the show has been overwhelming.
“Sponsors have been coming forward and the schools are really showing an interest,” Williams, who plans to make the show an annual event, said.
Proceeds from the show will go towards providing much needed equipment to the participating schools. The schools will compete in the areas of drama, music and dancing.
Guest artistes who are expected at the event include Quenchade, Mad Allen and Lt Elmo.
Until next week go out and have some fun.
