The regular Saturday night vibes party continues tonight at the Brewery along Montego Bay’s Gloucester Avenue. This time around, however, patrons will get a chance to feel the power of Paula-Ann Porter of Fame Fm and DJ Sunshine from Irie FM, in an event called ‘Girl Power’.
Assistant Manager at the Brewery, Colin Scarlett, told Entertainment Out West that tonight’s party should be another fun-filled event as patrons will be treated to some ‘classic’ selections from two of the most popular female Deejays in the island.
Cover charge is $400 and the action starts at 10:00 pm.

STAMPEDE ON THE BEACH
The popular Burwood beach in Trelawny is expected to be full of fun and excitement on Sunday, when Millennium Plus Promotions in association with the Hair Boutique and Gunz and Roses presents Stampede on the Beach.
The all day and night event features the popular Hard Copy Cover Girls and the Gunz and Roses models.
Patrons will also get a chance to see on stage the Miss Trelawny Summer Queen 2001, Sherita Harriott; Miss Trelawny Queen Body Beautiful, Tina Jones; Miss Falmouth Gardens, Alicia Brown and Miss Queen of Spain, Sauna Roberts.
Apart from the beauties, patrons will get a chance to win lots of prizes from the various contests that will be staged.
These include a best thong contest, a wet t-shirt contest and a six-a-side football match. The most ‘X’ rated female on the beach will receive a special prize.
The fun starts at 9 am and admission is $350.
FLAMES OF FREEDOM
Flames of Freedom 2001 takes place at Tullouch Castle, St James, next Thursday.
The annual event commemorates the Sam Sharpe-led Christmas Rebellion of 1838 and will this year feature two ten-mile torch runs through communities in South St James. They will end at the site where a slave girl reportedly lit the first flames of freedom.
A civic ceremony at 6:30 pm will feature church and civic groups from the parish. Sister Skulley headlines the gospel concert that follows, and the evening ends with South St James’ pride and joy, the Positive Vibrations band, in concert.
That’s it for entertainment news this week and have a Merry Christmas you all.
