Live Jazz band coming to the Brewery
IN an effort to improve the quality of entertainment being offered in Montego Bay, the Brewery will be adding a live Jazz band to its weekly entertainment roster as of this month.
Although details are not yet available, Entertainment Out West understands that the show will be held on Wednesday nights, and will showcase local and international jazz artistes.
Meanwhile, the regular Saturday Night Vibes party continues tonight at the popular entertainment spot. Tonight’s show will feature Bass Odyssey, out of St Ann.
The fun starts at 10:00 pm.
Dancehall party continues at Margueritaville
THE regular dancehall party continues tonight at Margueritaville along Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay.
Last week, Fire Links disco entertained the full house that was on hand.
Tonight, the party features Changez disco, but before that, resident deejay ‘Mental’ will spin the hits until 10 pm.
Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Feestival begins on Friday
THE Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival begins on Friday, February 8, at the Wyndham Rosehall, Montego Bay.
This year, the festival will run for three days and will, as usual, include both local and international acts.
On Friday, the show features Angelique Kidjo, Yolanda Adams and Beres Hammond, while Babyface, Carl Thomas and Karen Young are among the artistes slated to perform on Saturday.
The show on Sunday, starts at 3:00 pm and features Harry Belafonte, Bebe Winas, Stephanie Mills and Classico del Sol.
Heineken Startime for Montego Bay on Valentine’s Day
FOR the first time in the history of the event, the 13 year-old Heineken Startime show comes to the Caribbean Showplace in Montego Bay on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
Montego Bay-based promoter Fendley Foster and Startime producers, MKB are staging the show.
Artistes slated to perform are Alton Ellis, George Nooks, Ken Boothe Mighty Diamonds and Frankie Paul.
They will be backed by Lloyd Parkes and We the People Band.
The show starts at 9:00 pm.
