Country Duppy continues at MoBay Civic Centre
Aston Cooke’s comedy Country Duppy continues at the Montego Bay Civic Centre, Sam Sharpe Square tonight.
Directed by Michael Nicholson, the play features Cheri Johnson, Mervin Whittingham, Nadia Carvalho, Vincent Bishop and Kenniel Earle.
The show runs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, starting at 8:30 pm. It ends on June 23.
…and The General’s Inn now playing at the Fairfield Theatre
The hit comedy play, The General’s Inn, continues its successful run at the Fairfield Theatre, Montego Bay, tonight.
Directed by Douglas Prout, the play features Actor Boy winner Lloyd Smith, Fabian Thomas, Errol Smith and Aretha Ruddock.
The play opened in April and will continue to play until next month.
Show time is 8:00 pm and tickets are available at Fontana and Overton pharmacies, as well as at the gate.
Miss Invaders Football Queen 2002 for Andy’s Lawn
Andy’s Lawn, Friendship, is the venue for tonight’s inaugural staging of the “Miss Invaders Football Queen” contest.
Eight girls from the Bunker’s Hill community in Trelawny will vie for the crown.
They are: Janeek Davis, Tamoy Johnson, Sophia Spence, Navone Walker, Shanique Smith, Jodian McMoyne, Dannecia Billings and Debbian Dawes.
Scorpion Disco will provide the music for the event while the entertainment package includes dance and deejay contests and fashion show.
Part proceeds from the event will go towards the Invaders Sports Development Fund.
MoBay Police Youth Club Fun Day
The Montego Bay Police Youth Club will be hosting its annual Fun Day next Saturday, at Pride Park, Whitehouse.
Activities throughout the day include dominoes, cricket, netball and volley-ball, while the night’s entertainment will feature Ninja Man and Beenie Man.
Proceeds are in aid of the Club’s outreach programmes.
