Free medical care offered to Flankers residents
WESTERN BUREAU — More than 160 residents of Flankers in St James benefited from free medical care during last Saturday’s “medical mission”, which was sponsored by Sandals Montego Bay in association with LasMed, at the Flankers Basic School.
Public relations manager at Sandals Montego Bay, Marlon Tingling, described the event as a tremendous success.
He said LasMed, the pharmaceutical arm of LASCo Distributors, donated medical supplies to all the residents who were seen by the doctors.
Head of the medical team, Dr Garfield Gibbon said most of the adults who were seen by his team were treated for high blood pressure, arthritis and diabetes.
Some of the children, he said, were treated for the common cold while others were diagnosed with skin disorders.
