Air J again reschedules flights to Haiti
AIR Jamaica, the national airline, said yesterday that due to the prevailing state of political instability in Haiti, it will not resume flights to that country and the Dominican Republic tomorrow, as previously scheduled.
Flights JMX 365 from Montego Bay to Port-au-Prince and Santo Domingo and JMX 364 from Santo Domingo and Port-au-Prince to Montego Bay that were scheduled to resume tomorrow, have been further suspended until next Wednesday, the airline said yesterday.
Air Jamaica Express operates the flights to Haiti and the Dominican Republic on behalf of Air Jamaica, using the 37-seat Dash 8 aircraft.
The airline’s deputy chairman & CEO, Christopher Zacca, said the situation in Haiti is evaluated daily and the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft remained the number one priority of the national airline.
