Police probing businesswoman’s apparent suicide – Senior detectives are investigating the circumstance surrounding the death of Robyn Foreman, the 44 year-old director of sales and marketing at Mothers Enterprises Limited.
The police say Foreman’s husband found her body at 4 o’clock yesterday morning hanging from a window by a length of cord at their Ridge Way Terrace home in Jacks Hill.
Investigators who went to the scene say the body was lying on the floor of the house, according to police reports.
The post mortem will be performed on the body on Tuesday, November 23 to determine the cause of her death.
…And security guard’s death
A 53 year-old security guard was also said to have committed suicide. His body was found hanging from a tree behind his home in Hendon, Norwood.
He was discovered at 6:30 am and a note allegedly written by him was found at the scene. The Montego Bay Police who are investigating say Edward Palmer was having marital problems.
Operation Kingfish seizes ganja, two persons detained
A man and a woman were detained yesterday in connection with the seizures of over 160 pounds of ganja, cash amounting to $57,000 and several other items.
The operation in downtown Kingston was carried out by members of Operation Kingfish.
According to police reports, between 9:45 am and 10:35 am, several premises at West Street were searched and ganja weighing about 76 kilogrammes (167 lbs) was found in several plastic bags and barrels. Seven scales, three chillum pipes and a still camera were also confiscated.
Another Kingfish operation also resulted in the detention of five men and the seizure of a firearm – a High Point 9mm rifle – as well as ammunition and a stick of dynamite at School Lane in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

Missing soldiers found
The two Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldiers that were reported missing on Thursday were found at noon yesterday by one of the search teams combing the Blue Mountains since Thursday.
The soldiers, Lance Corporal Selvin Rose and Private Laxton Ellis, both of the Second Battalion of the Jamaica Regiment, did not appear to have suffered serious injuries, only minor cuts and bruises.
Their disappearance will be subjected to thorough investigation as a part of the standard procedures of the JDF, the army said in a statement.
