Extortionist convicted

DALE Stavrose, 26, of Violet Avenue, Kingston 6 was sentenced to three years imprisonment in the Half Way Tree Criminal Court Friday on several counts of extortion.

Stavrose had attempted to fleece several business persons in the corporate area of cash last May.

He was nabbed in the act by the Organised Crime Investigation Division, during a sting operation.

Stavrose was charged with attempting to obtain money by false pretence.
