Two stolen cars recovered in Vineyard Town
TWO men were arrested Monday following the recovery of two stolen cars in Vineyard Town, Kingston. However, their names were not released by officers.
Police believe that the seizure has put a significant dent in the operations of a stolen-car ring operating in the Vineyard Town area of the nation’s capital.
Officers on the scene, where the cars were recovered Monday, said they received information that cars were being scrapped at 24 Deanery Road, Kingston 3. They said that on arriving at the location three men were spotted, but one managed to escape. The other two were taken into custody and were later charged.
A 2004 silver Toyota Corolla and a 1998 white Toyota Corolla, as well as illegal motor vehicle documents for the 2004 Corolla were recovered from the location, police said. Both cars had their left pivot windows smashed, while the 2004 Corolla also had its firewall removed.
