Ease St Margaret’s Bay water woes now, says Vaz
DARYL Vaz, the JLP caretaker for West Portland, says the government has shown an “unbelievable level of incompetence” in dealing with the problems at the water treatment plant in St Margaret’s Bay, Portland.
In a release on Thursday, Vaz said that a touring party led by the Minister of Housing, Transportation, Water and Works Robert Pickersgill, on March 8, had to turn back before inspecting the plant due to the bad roads leading there.
He accused those responsible for the rehabilitation of the plant of gross incompetence and has requested immediate action to relieve the water problems, which have been affecting, St Margaret’s Bay for the past 10 years.
