NationwideRadio begins test transmissions Monday
CLIFF Hughes’ NationwideRadio will begin test transmissions starting 5:00 am on Monday, March 26 to Tuesday, May 1, in preparation for full-time broadcasting on the new Digital AM frequencies on RJR.
At the same time, RJR last night began to broadcast exclusively on its FM frequencies, a change which ushered in a new era in broadcast radio in Jamaica, a news release from Nationwide said yesterday.
It said NationwideRadio would air a number of new and established programmes which will introduce a new dimension to radio broadcasting.
NationwideRadio will initially be heard on 720 AM from Hartlands, St Catherine covering areas of Clarendon, St Catherine, Kingston and St Andrew and St Thomas.
NationwideRadio is operated by Nationwide News Network Limited with principal Cliff Hughes responsible for programmes, including its flagship Nationwide @ 5, the Emmy-Award winning Impact and This Morning featuring Emily Crooks.
