Two brothers charged with murder of cop
TWO brothers taken into custody following the discovery of the body of Constable Richard Dwayne Alexander in a gully at Juno Crescent, May Pen, Clarendon on March 27 have been charged with murder.
The brothers are Ricardo Ford, 24, of Chapleton Road and Oneil Donaldson, 21, of Juno Crescent, both in Clarendon.
The police had reported that at about 7:05 am on March 27, residents found the Alexander’s body in the gully and summoned the police. Investigators later reported that the body had a number of gunshot and knife wounds.
“Following investigations by the May Pen police, the siblings and four other men were taken into custody the same day. Four were released, while the brothers were formally charged yesterday (Wednesday),” the Constabulary Communication Network reported yesterday. “They are scheduled to appear in the May Pen Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 16.”
