Titchfield student found dead
West Retreat, Portland – 15 year-old Fitzroy ‘Ratty’ Lawrence, who attended Titchfield High School in Port Antonio, was found dead at about 9:15 am yesterday in this district.
Residents found the body of the third form student, who lived at Folly Road in Port Antonio, in a ravine.
The residents called the police who found that the youngster’s body had two wounds – one to the left breast and the other to the lower back.
His brother, Ramone Savoury, said that on Saturday night he and another of his brothers went to a party at Tom’s Hope, a district close to where Fitzroy’s body was found. “When I woke up this morning I did not see him, and later I was told that he was killed,” Ramone said.
The Port Antonio CIB are investigating the student’s death.
Lawrence was the second Titchfield student to have died in just over a week. On April 13, Lamar Stevenson, 13, drowned at the beach in Long Bay in Portland.
