$18-m road project to reduce flooding in Grange Hill
GRANGE HILL, Westmoreland – An $18- million road rehabilitation project will reduce flooding in this community within the next three months, according to the National Works Agency (NWA).
According to NWA’s community relations officer for the western region, Janel Ricketts, the project, when completed, is also expected to significantly improve the road surface along the Grange Hill to Little London roadway.
The multimillion dollar project is being undertaken under the NWA’s Special Flood Damage Programme.
Meanwhile, the NWA said it recently completed a $22.7 million rehabilitation project on the Roaring River and the Barney Side roads in constituencies of Eastern and Central Westmoreland. The project, the NWA said, involved the rehabilitation of 3.8 km of roadway and the improvement of drainage structures.
