Miss Hawaiian Tropic Jamaica wows
When the smoke cleared Kingston’s Bobbiesha Jackson Flair emerged with the title for the first ever Miss Hawaiian Tropic Jamaica. Sponsored by in the main by Amalgamated Distributors, Hedonism II and HYPE-TV, the pageant, which was staged at the Hedonism II resort also saw the support of Jamaican Style, Fontana Pharmacy, Digicel, Red Stripe, Soft Sheen, Starfish Oils, Royal Shop, and Touch of Gold Jewellery boutique.
Jackson will represent Jamaica at the annual Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Pageant in Las Vegas in two months time.
The grand idea of Amalgamated Distributors Limited’s Sharon Kirkcaldy, the pageant which was assembled in a month, saw 13 contestants travelling from all over the island to converge at the Superclubs, super all-inclusive ‘party engine’.
In addition to winning the title, Jackson took the sectional prizes for Best Bikini and Best Figure.
First runner-up to the Queen was Ashley Lewis and second runner-up Claudia Rattigan. The panel of five judges also awarded prizes for Best Personality and Best Smile to Cuban born, Leydi Anglana and Best Skin Tone went to Nicole Weller of Kingston.
Jon Foster, Managing Director at Caribbean Enterprises which represents Hawaiian Tropic Products in the Caribbean, expressed much enthusiasm in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Jamaica Pageant and was extremely pleased with the level of showmanship and professionalism which was evident in the Pageant’s first year.
Hedonism II General Manager, Richard Bourke, also expressed confidence in his team and is looking forward to an even bigger and better Pageant next year.
