Corrections
. Contrary to a report published in the Daily Observer of Thursday, September 27, 2007, the People’s National Party won 34 of the 60 seats in the 2002 general election, not 36 as reported.
During the PNP administration two members of the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party crossed to the floor to join the governing People’s National Party. At that time, there were 36 members sitting on the Government side and 24 on the Opposition side.
. The Daily Observer of Saturday, September 29, 2007 incorrectly identified a picture of Dr Ronald Robinson, minister of state in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as that of Opposition member of parliament Ian Hayles. We regret the error.
