Seba-U meet Granville in key match
GRANVILLE, St James-
Last season’s co-champions Seba United and Granville FC will meet this afternoon in a key second-round game in the St James FA Captain’s Bakery Knockout competition at the Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College.
The teams that were scheduled to meet in the finals last season were drawn to meet each other on Monday at the drawing at the Captain’s Bakery store on St James Street.
Both teams had gone on to represent the parish in the Jamaica Football Federation’s all-island Red Stripe Champions Cup KO competition.
Three other games will be played today and four more are down to be contested tomorrow afternoon.
Western Confederation Super League team Violet Kickers and Fogo will square off at Bogue; Tomorrow’s People will host Gully Ambassadors at Bickersteth while Salt Spring United and Mountain Villa will meet at the UDC field.
Tomorrow, Wadadah will face ACES at Catherine Hall, Melbourne FC and Catherine Hall will play each other at Albion, ABES (formerly Seba Youths) and Salt Spring Roses will meet at Tucker while Juniors FC and Champions FC will meet at UDC.
In the two first-round games played last week, Catherine Hall edged Mt Salem 3-2 in one game on Thursday after ACES had beaten Granville City 3-1 on Wednesday.
The draw for the third run will be made next week.
