9 more larceny charges for Keisha Gay Bond
MONTEGO BAY, St James – Keisha Gay Bond, a former cashier at a Montego Bay supermarket, incurred an additional nine counts of larceny as a servant when she returned to the Montego Bay Resident Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The additional counts brought to 22, the original 13 with which she had been charged when she first appeared in court last Thursday. She will return to court on November 3.
The 21-year-old St James native, who attended high school in Portland before returning to the area in 2006, was arrested on September 30 when the fraud was discovered.
The court heard that Bond started working at a supermarket in February this year and in September an internal audit showed that over $277,500 could not be accounted for.
Checks were made and when confronted on September 29, she handed over $10,000 to her employers.
According to the police, she falsified debit card figures and pocketed the difference.
Her $100,000 bail was extended on Tuesday.
