Poor Dwayne Brown gets bail
MONTEGO BAY, St James -A 24-year-old man from Sun Valley Road who is facing charges in relation to trespassing on the property of the Holiday Inn hotel on Tuesday talked his way to a reduced bail bond in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court.
Despite being told to shut up, 24-year-old Dwayne Brown insisted on making the point that his family was too poor to post bail for him in the sum of $150,000 with one, two or three sureties.
“My family is poor with open and closed brackets and underlined,” he explained.
In the end, Resident Magistrate Sandria Wong-Small reduced the bail bond to $50,00 in his own surety.
In the meantime, Brown has to report to the Mt Salem Police Station every day until the case is disposed of.
He is scheduled to appear in court on December 3 when his case will be mentioned.
