Bad road to Good Hope
The condition of this road which leads from Dehaney Cross Road at Bunker’s Hill in Trelanwy to the historical Good Hope, Wales and Pantrepant properties is so badly eroded motorists are forced to drive on the right to prevent serious damage to their under carriages and front ends. Good Hope, home of the Good Hope Hotel, once boasted a copra factory which later became a juice extraction plant. Wales was once a prosperous working plantation and home of the late Patrick Tennyson, grandson of Alfred Lord Tennyson while Panterpant, former home of land baron Frank Roxborough is now one of the homes of Chris Blackwell.
