Security guard shot dead
A 44-year-old security guard was shot and killed by a gunman at Oxford Park Avenue, Kingston 10, this morning.
Dead is Lincoln Williams of Molynes Road.
Polcie said about 7:30 am, Williams was sitting in a motor car when he was approached by a gunman. The gunman opened fire hitting him, the police then made his escape in a white Toyota Corolla motor car.
The victim was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Half-Way-Tree CIB is investigating.
BSI probes fatal shooting
THE Bureau of Special Investigations is investigating the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old man who reportedly fired at lawmen, injuring one, during a shootout at Tryall district, St Mary this morning. An illegal firearm was allegedly seized in the incident.
The dead man has been identified as Orlando Robinson, otherwise called ‘Brown Man’, of Montpelier, Hanover and Text Lane in Kingston.
Police said about 8:30 am, a police operation was carried out at the Tryall Housing Scheme. On entering a premises, the officers were greeted with gunfire, causing injuries to one of them.
The fire was returned and Robinson was later found suffering from gunshot wound and clutching a Taurus 9mm pistol loaded with twelve 9mm cartridges. The lawman and Robinson were taken to hospital where Robinson was pronounced dead and the officer admitted in stable condition.
18-y-o Kingston mechanic shot dead
THE Olympic Gardens Police are looking for clues to solve the gun murder of an 18-year-old mechanic at his home at Balcombe Drive, Kingston 11, this morning.
The dead man has been identified as Norris Golding otherwise called ‘Taliban’.
Police said about 3:50 am, Golding was at home when unknown assailant/s invaded the premises through a rear window and opened gunfire, hitting him.
He died on the spot.
