Leaders Cavalier, Rae Town on prowl for more points
TITLE-CHASING Cavalier and Rae Town will be up against Constant Spring and Duhaney Park respectively, as the race in the Claro/KSAFA Super League heats up this afternoon.
In other games, Santos entertain JDF at Bell/Chung Oval, Mountain View travel to Buttercup Park to face Real Mona, Meadhaven take on Barbican at Duhaney Park and Maverley/Hughenden tackle struggling Bull Bay at Maverley.
Cavalier lead the table with 37 points, two ahead of Rae Town and both will start favourites against their opponents today, although Cavalier will have the tougher test when they play away to Constant Spring.
Rae Town should be able to take care of strugglers Duhaney Park at Breezy Castle.
Meanwhile, Santos (31 points), Mounatin View and JDF (28 points) will be looking to take advantage of any slips from the leaders.
In the Major League, table-toppers Central Kingston take on bottom-of-the-table Cooreville at Cooreville, Rockfort play Swallowfield at Vauxhall High, Molynes United entertain Police National, UWI host Whitfield Town at UWI Bowl, Greenwich Town tackle Liguanea at Tinson Pen and Olympic Gardens oppose Brown’s Town at Cling Cling Oval.
Central Kingston lead the standings with 30 ponts, three more than Rockfort, followed by Police with 25, then UWI with 20, Greenwich 18 and Whitfield, Liguanea and Brown’s Town 17 each.
In the Syd Bartlett, leaders Seaview take on third-placed Allman/Woodford at Heroes Circle in the feature game.
In other matches, Shortwood host Pembroke Hall at Shortwood, Red Hills face Meadforrest and Island Special Constabulary play New Kingston at Bell/Chung Oval.
Seaview sit atop the league with 23 points, followed by Shortwood 22, Allman/Woodford 20 and Stony Hill 19.
