Hue slapped with fine, one-match ban
HARBOUR View’s midfielder Jermaine Hue had to dig deepest in his pocket after appearing before the Jamaica Football Federation’s (JFF’s) Disciplinary Committee after their latest sitting last week.
Hue, who has also represented the national team, was fined $3,000 and given a one-match suspension for breaching Article 41.4 (Abusive Language) during the Digicel Premier League (DPL) game between Harbour View and Arnett Gardens.
He was reported to have directed foul and abusive language at the referee during the course of the game which took place at Harbour View on January 10.
On a similar charge a breach of Article 28.3 (U21) (Foul and Abusive Language), Jamalie Richards of August Town was fined $1000 and given a one-match ban for directing foul and abusive language at his team-mates during the JFF/PLCA National Under-21 League against Sporting Central at Brancourt on January 15.
Rivoli United’s Mark Newsome was also hit with penalties identical to Richards for breaching Article 41.3.3 (Violent Conduct).
He was summoned for slapping an opponent in the face during the DPL game between Rivoli United and Tivoli Gardens at the Spanish Town Prison Oval on January 6.
Two Harbour View FC Under-21 representatives were sanctioned for a breach of Article 28.3.3 (U21) (Violent Conduct). Andrew Phang was fined ($500 and given a one-match suspension for violent conduct (striking an opponent) during the JFF/PLCA National Under-21 match between Harbour View and Rivoli United at Harbour View on January 8.
Robert Williams was hit with an identical penalty for using his right elbow to strike an opponent during the JFF/PLCA National Under-21 League game between Tivoli Gardens and Harbour View at the Seaga Sport Complex on January 15.
The management of Harbour View fared better than their players, as for their charge of breaching Article 68 (Disorderliness at matches), the club was admonished and warned.
They were summoned by the committee for a missile-throwing incident which occurred during the DPL match between Harbour View and Arnett Gardens at Harbor View on January 10.
