Ailing Dennis Hopper gets a restraining order against estranged wife

Cancer-stricken Dennis Hopper has won a restraining order barring his estranged wife Victoria Duffy-Hopper coming near him.

The order, which bans Duffy-Hopper from coming within 10 feet of the actor, is the latest turn in an increasingly bitter divorce battle.

In new court papers published this week, the Easy Rider star, 73, accuses his wife of being ‘inhuman’, ‘extremely volatile’ and ‘out of her mind’.

The actor, who is terminally ill with prostate cancer, also describes spending Christmas in ‘utter distress’ after Duffy-Hopper took their six-year-old daughter Galen to Boston over the holidays without telling him.

He said: ‘This malevolent act… has caused me to miss what may very well be my last Christmas with my daughter Galen.’

In court yesterday, a Los Angeles judge sided with Hopper and granted his request for a restraining order.

The order also stipulates she must stay away from Hopper’s children Henry and Marin and his assistant Emily Davis, and is banned from entering the main family residence in Venice, California.

While Duffy-Hopper, 41, maintains primary custody of their daughter, Galen must be allowed to visit her sick father for two hours every day.

The Blue Velvet star also alleged his wife stole priceless art pieces from his collection and changed the locks on his house.

The actor stunned his wife of 13 years when he filed for divorce on January 14. The couple have been together since 1992 and married four years later, in April 1996.

In response, Duffy-Hopper claimed he was ‘pressured’ into divorcing her by his advisers and adult children because they want to inherit a larger piece of his estate.

In court papers, she alleged he no longer knows how to act appropriately in front of their daughter.

She says the actor has been smoking medical marijuana in front of Galen and even keeps guns around the house which are within her reach.

‘[He] uses marijuana multiple times daily. I have come upon him using marijuana in Galen’s presence in recent months,’ the declaration states.

Duffy-Hopper claimed her husband’s illness has left him with a ‘diminished mental and physical capacity’.

Gwen Stefani takes Zuma to NYFW

Gwen Stefani was bearing the ultimate accessory backstage at New York Fashion Week – her 18-month-old son Zuma Rossdale.

Dressed in a matching black leather jacket to his mother’s, the toddler attracted plenty of attention and really looked the part.

Gwen made the trip from her Los Angeles base to the Big Apple to launch her fall collection for her LAMB fashion line.

It came on the first night of the Mercedes-Benz-sponsored fashion week and ahead of the show, the mother of two posed alongside her models before heading backstage to her youngest son.

It was a backhanded compliment to Stefani that few people in the crowd noticed her on a stepladder in the back of the room.

All eyes were on the models — with voluminous hair, smoky eyes and skyscraper heels — and the hip, urban clothes that Stefani’s label is known for.

The new styles show that Stefani is evolving as a designer, not just retreading her own wardrobe.

The LAMB look has some hard edges, with skinny leather pants and grommeted military-style belts wrapped around slinky dresses as if they were holding ammunition.

Madge, boytoy Jesus’ PDA in Rio nightclub

Only a week ago Madonna reportedly dumped her ‘toyboy’ lover after running out of things to say.

Not that there was much conversation going on as they got stuck in a passionate embrace as they were reunited in Rio de Janeiro this week.

The 51-year-old mother of four looked as though she was desperately trying to reclaim her youth as she and 23-year-old Jesus Luz kissed on some stairs of a nightclub seemingly oblivious to their fellow partygoers.

And while 30 years ago she knew how to get into the groove, last night she was happy to sit back and let Jesus enjoy himself with his friends at the sweaty venue.

At one point she really showed her age and looked thoroughly exhausted as she leaned on her toyboy for a hug with her eyes closed.

But that was hardly surprising. After all, she was more than double the age of the average clubgoer at the Circus Nightclub and at times appeared a little withdrawn.

Renee Zellweger brings sexy back at the Berlin Film Festival

As a juror at the Berlin Film Festival, Renee Zellweger is there to take a back seat and judge her peers in the upcoming films.

But there was no danger of the Oscar-winning actress fading into the distance at the festival opening tonight, when she dazzled in a daring backless blue dress.

The 40-year-old star flashed plenty of flesh in the strapless gown with a long train as she posed on the red carpet at the opening ceremony and premiere of Chinese film Tuan Yuan (Apart Together).

Despite the snowy weather, a cold Zellweger managed to stay smiling as she posed for photographers.

Cruises give in to 3-year-old Suri’s teenage tendencies?

At just three years old she has already gathered a collection of lipsticks for every occasion.

And Suri Cruise even knows that the darker colours are for big nights out.

The little girl was allowed to wear shiny red lip gloss on a trip to the theatre with her mother Katie Holmes this week.

The vampish shade was at odds with her demure yellow hairband and cardigan – and was not a colour that every mother would choose for their daughter’s dressing-up box.

Suri might have picked it up earlier that day at a cosmetics store in New York, where she was seen picking out different products.

Her love of make-up and high heels has brought criticism that her mother and father Tom Cruise are encouraging her to grow up too quickly.

She has been seen tottering around in several different pairs of heels, dangly clip-on earrings, and carrying a collection of handbags that a grown-up girl would envy.
