Georges, Village draw

BUFF BAY, Portland — St Georges SC were held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Village United in their Digicel Premier League game at Lynch Park on Sunday.

The result means that both teams have secured their places in the elite top-six of the league.

Goalscorers on Sunday were St Georges skipper Jermaine Taylor in the 44th minute, while Troy Smith replied for for Village in 53rd minute.

St Georges coach Braxton Hyre was pleased at game’s end. “I am happy with the point and being in the top-six… we will now seek to go for the third spot,” he said.

His opposite, Cassman Williams was also a happy man. “We did our best and got that vital goal and the point we needed,” he beamed.
