GAYLE, Clarendon — Leaders Milk River United will be aiming to keep their unbeaten record intact when they play away to Gayle FC at Gayle in the return-round of the Clarendon Captain’s Bakery Major League today.

Milk River, who lead the 10-team standings with 26 points — three above New Bowens and 16 clear of Gayle FC — will be overwhelming favourites against their opponents, whom they blanked 2-0 in the first round at Rest Primary.

The Carlton Wint-coached unit that just missed out on lifting the mid-season crown after a 0-1 loss to rivals New Bowens FC, have scored a league-high 21 goals so far, while conceding two from eight wins and two drawn games.

Their opponents, who are seventh, have only managed three wins, one draw and six defeats — two of which have come at home and are the third worst defensive team -, having let in 14 goals, while scoring eight.

In other day’s other encounter, last-placed Sanguinetti (six) will host eighth-placed Young Strikers (10) at Cobbla.

On Thursday, mid-season champions will be going for their eighth win when they play Sunnyside FC (11) at the Wembley Sports Club, while Rock River host York Town at Clarendon College, as Gimme-mi-bit tackle Longwood at home. All games are set for a 3:00 pm start.
