Furious Elin Nordegren ‘set to divorce Tiger Woods soon’

Tiger Woods has lost the battle to save his marriage, according to reports in the US last night. Friends said that Elin Nordegren has finally had enough of her errant husband and decided to divorce him.

A bizarre TV advert made by Woods featuring the voice of his late father was said to be the ‘final straw’ for the former model.

Nordegren, 30, refused to watch the golfing superstar make his comeback at the US Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia, and flew out of Florida alone after he returned home.

She is said to be ‘violently angry’ over the black and white TV advert for Nike — screened on US sports channels — that shows a silent and solemn Woods listening to the voice of his father Earl.

‘Elin thought it was a cheesy thing to do,’ one friend told People magazine in the US. ‘That just made her madder. She is over Tiger. I wouldn’t be surprised if she files for divorce sometime soon.’

TV show Entertainment Tonight claimed that the five-year marriage is ‘definitely over’.

It said the Swede is putting the final touches to the divorce that could see her walk away with £200million from Woods’s estimated £500million fortune.

Reporter Kevin Frazier, who has close links to the Woods camp, said: ‘Sources have told me the marriage is indeed over.’

He claimed that Woods, 33, had rented a house for his wife and two children at the Masters in Augusta but she refused to attend.

Frazier added: ‘All they have to do is work out a few more details on their divorce and they can sign the decree and both can move on.’

Woods, who has undergone counselling at a sex addiction clinic, had hoped to save his marriage after he was linked to 12 women.

Friends said Nordegren also believes that by returning to golf at the first opportunity, he has gone back on his word to work at his marriage.

A friend said: ‘Elin’s so far beyond hurt now. ‘If she were angry or if she hated him, they might still have a chance to work it out.’But she’s beyond that. She’s numb. She just doesn’t care any more. Now she’s moving on.’ Renovation work on a £1million home she bought in Sweden is understood to have been speeded up and it will be ready by the summer.

Khloe shows off her trademark Kardashian curves in a skintight red dress

Even with her back to the camera, there is no mistaking that this girl is a Kardashian. Khloe showed off her reality TV’s family’s trademark curves in a skintight red dress yesterday.

Like her older sisters Kim and Kourtney, the brunette has inherited a shapely figure. The 25-year-old was at the launch of a project for young women in New York’s Flatiron District.

Earlier she appeared on the Today show where she revealed she is ‘praying’ Kim stays single after splitting from boyfriend Reggie Bush. ‘It’s not anything bad. I was just talking to Reggie yesterday on the phone,’ said Khloe. ‘I think that they were like: “I think it’s just time to move on.” It was never anything bad. ‘I like that they are ending on a good note, because we were so close to him. I pray she stays single. Kim goes from one relationship to the next.’

Khloe and her sisters have filmed a series of Getting Real videos for feminine hygiene brand Kotex. In their messages, the Kardashians tell all about their own personal experiences and give girls advice on the changes to their body during puberty.

Mel Gibson splits from his Russian girlfriend just five months after their daughter was born

Mel Gibson has split from his Russian girlfriend a year after his wife of 29 years filed for divorce because of his affair with the much younger woman, it was revealed last night. The 54-year-old Braveheart star is said to have ‘drifted apart’ from Oksana Grigorieva, 39, soon after she gave birth to their five-month-old daughter, Lucia. ‘They are both working hard on their careers and trying to raise a sweet baby together. They are still friends and they will both raise Lucia together,’ a close friend of the couple told People magazine.

The National Enquirer claimed the break-up was much less cordial, alleging that Gibson dumped his one-time mistress after a row in which she accused him of cheating on her and going back on his pledge to marry her. Speculation that their relationship was on the rocks grew when she failed to attend the big Easter opening of Gibson’s Holy Family Chapel, the church he built near Malibu.

News of the split comes almost one year to the day when Robyn, the mother of Gibson’s seven older children, filed for divorce reputedly costing him one half of his £300million movie fortune after learning of her husband’s infidelity.

Gibson’s publicist had no comment on the split. Sources claimed last night that there was unlikely to be a custody battle with Grigorieva.
