Penwood hunt win number six
Unfancied Penwood High, this season’s ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup surprise team, will hunt their sixth consecutive win this afternoon in Group D, as the competition looks to get back into full gear after a week of postponements due to the inclement last week.
The Olympic Gardens-based school drubbed Mona High 10-1 in the last outing for their fifth straight win and will be gunning for lowly Meadowbrook at Cling Cling Oval.
Penwood lead with maximum 15 points, but the are closely pursued by Norman Manley and St Andrew Technical, who are both two points adrift.
In the group’s other games, Norman Manley entertain Mona at Maxfield Park and St Andrew Technical play away to Holy Trinity.
In Group F, Eltham travel to Campion College, Hydel host Kingston College and Tarrant take on St Catherine High.
Group B will see Bridgeport play at home to Vauxhall and Tivoli Gardens take on Jose Marti.
All matches start at 3:30 pm.
