MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Manchester High rebounded from Saturday’s disappointing draw against Christiana High with a big 12-0 spanking of Alston High in their rescheduled ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup Zone G game played in Mandeville yesterday.
After dropping their first points of the season against Christiana, the Barry Watson-coached Manchester High returned to their high scoring ways with Oral Johnson leading the way with five goals, while Cunnyhill Beckford and Trevor Aris got two each with Junior Neil and an Alston player getting the others.
Yesterday’s dozen took Manchester’s goal tally for the season to 41 with Johnson taking his personal tally to 14.
Meanwhile, three schools maintained perfect win records as St Mary Technical, Clarendon College and Charlemont High all won yesterday to chalk up win number five each.
St Mary Technical edged St Mary High 2-1 in Zone D; Clarendon College beat Thompson Town 4-1, while Charlemont were 2-0 winners over Bog Walk High in Zone J.
Charlemont will today turn around and face Old Harbour in another rescheduled game at Charlemont. Old Harbour have won their three games played so far.
Defending champions St Elizabeth Technical beat Maggotty High 2-0, but Munro College stayed on top in Zone F after beating deCarteret College 3-0 and are yet to concede a goal.
At Jarrett Park, Jason Malcolm scored his first daCosta Cup hat-trick to lead St James High to a 4-1 win over William Knibb in Zone A.
Malcolm scored in the 43rd, 89th and in time added on after Robert Anglin had given them the lead in the 32nd minute.

Cornwall College stayed in second place in the Zone after edging Spot Valley High 1-0, while Muschett had a similar win over Green Pond.
Mannings School and Godfrey Stewart stayed tied on points in Zone E. Mannings beat Maud McLeod 5-0, while Godfrey Stewart were 2-0 winners over Little London High.
Paul Bogle High, who lost for the first time last weekend, responded with a 5-0 thrashing of Morant Bay in Zone L as Rushane Brissett scored twice, and Donovan Williams scored a hat-trick for Yallahs in their 5-1 win over Robert Lightbourne.
Titchfield High won for the first time with a 3-1 result over Happy Grove, while Buff Bay had a similar margin over Fair Prospect.
Jamar Jackson and Sayco Gordon scored twice as Glenmuir beat Kemps Hill 6-2, Denbigh beat Tacius Golding 2-0, and Garvey Maceo were held 1-1 by Central High.
