LIME premieres The Social Network
Director: David Fincher
Cast: Jesse Eisenberg; Rooney Mara and Bryan Barter
Run time: 120 minutes
Last Tuesday evening, LIME invited various members of their social network to the premiere of ‘the facebook movie’ The Social Network. “In true name and nature of the movie, we decided to have a special airing of the film and invite a few persons from our social network” stated a member of the LIME team.
On the list of specially invited guests, were colleagues, special mobile customers, selected winners from their Facebook fan page and of course a few celebrities and personalities including Ce’cile, Denyque, Yendi and Asafa.
Of course, after the photo-op’s and the small talk, guests moved inside, got their snacks and got seated for the movie. Now, if a special premiere wasn’t enough, LIME also gave out four brand new BlackBerrys at intermission to randomly selected members of the audience.
In regards to the movie, TEENage would say it’s a good watch. It shows the Facebook story (as expected) from its very basic and humble inception to where it is today as a multi-billion dollar company.
The movie takes a focus on the age old issue of ‘friendship and business’ and with witty characters and a storyline that grabs you, you get to see and somewhat become even more a part of the Facebook phenomena.
The only fault found with the overall production, were the changes from past to present. In some cases the flashbacks happened so sudden that if you blinked for too long you could have easily lost track of what’s happening.
Definitely check it out in theatres!
TEENage rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
