St George’s rally to give Ardenne the ‘blues’
Champions St George’s College rallied from Monday’s 1-2 defeat to Wolmer’s Boys’ to spank Ardenne 4-0 in Group E of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup competition at North Street yesterday. In other group matches, St Jago thrashed Edith Dalton James 6-0 at Raven’s Worth, while Wolmer’s Boys’ clipped Donald Quarrie 2-1 at Bull Ben.
In Group C, Charlie Smith defeated Calabar High 3-1 at the Tony Spaulding Sports Complex, while Excelsior High stopped Innswood 2-0.
In Group B action today, Tivoli Gardens High will be at home to Ascot and Bridgeport High will host Dunoon Technical.
In Group D, Norman Manley will tackle Holy Trinity, Mona take on Pembroke Hall and Meadowbrook and STATHS will cross swords.
In Group F, Tarrant and Hydel will do battle, St Catherine and Jonathan Grant will face off, while Eltham host Kingston College.
All games start at 3:30 pm.
