Necessary Luxury – Marcia Henry
FIRSTLY, there’s my BlackBerry; one of my staff members calls me the Google Queen. I am always researching, unlike most persons who would be on their BB messenger. My First Global Key Fob must be on my desk. It’s the only way I conduct my banking transactions these days; whether it’s a wire transfer, payment of my bills, inter-bank transfer, it’s the way to go — talk about convenience at the click of a mouse!
Staying in touch and responding to my e-mails is important and my laptop is certainly a great efficiency tool. The days move by so quickly, so I need to have my calendar close by to keep me reminded of what day it is. It is not unusual for me to get the days of the week confused!
I declare I am not a coffee drinker! However, I must stay hydrated and so my water bottle is always filled with water… never mind that I sometimes don’t get through drinking all of it at the end of day.
Finally, my car keys — I keep these close in the event there is an emergency and I must make a quick dash, plus it’s one way to avoid going through the clutter of the handbag.
