SNAG system introduced to GC Foster students
The SNAG (Starting New At Golf) System now in use by the Jamaica Golf Association is currently being extended to include the GC Foster College of Physical Education & Sport.
The system is part of a new thrust by the Jamaica Golf Association in its junior golf programme. St Aloysius and St Anne’s Primary were the first schools to be included in the project.
To date, more than 60 students from both schools have been exposed to this fun-filled, easy-to-learn approach to golf. SNAG is a simplified way of instruction to introduce youngster to the game in a modified form using portable equipment.
Sponsorship has been provided through MOJO Marketing and it is hoped that the programme will gradually extend to other primary schools across the island.
The group of students from GC Foster will be introduced to the SNAG system by Herman Marsh and the sessions are being conducted at the Caymanas Golf & Country Club.
