Waulgrovians clip JAMALCO in thriller
FORMER many-time champions Waulgrovians ‘A’ eked out a nail-biting 55-54 win over arch-rivals JAMALCO in the Berger Paints/JNA Super League at the Leila Robinson Courts on Saturday.
It was also the third consecutive win for Waulgrovians ‘A’, having defeated defending champions Tivoli ‘A’ 47-45 and Mico ‘A’, 51-46. The defeat was JAMALCO’s first from two outings.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Tivoli ‘A’ picked up their second win from three starts by defeating WINDALCO from Clarendon, 46-34.
In another Super League game, Mico ‘A’ defeated UWI Revolution ‘A’ 38-35
The league continues this evening with defending champions Tivoli ‘A’ meeting UWI Revolution ‘A’ at 6:45 pm. In 5:45 pm starts, Duhaney Strikers ‘A’ face Hagley Park ‘A’, SKIBO ‘C’ tackle Molynes United ‘C’, GC Foster College ‘B’ take on Hellshire, while Flames United and Mico ‘B’ meet 6:45 pm.
