Logwood take lead in Hanover Major League
LUCEA, Hanover — Logwood took over the lead in the Captain’s Bakery and Grill Hanover Football Association’s Major League after beating last-placed and winless Haughton Meadows 4-0 in a first round game.
Logwood’s win took them to 12 points from six games, one more than Superstar, who have played five games.
All four goals came in the final 29 minutes of the game after they battled to a 0-0 stalemate for the first 60 minutes.
Rayon Richards scored the first goal in the 61st minute before Texroy Robinson scored in the 80th minute, Kevin Porter in the 89th and Legjhon Miller in the 90th to complete the big win.
Meanwhile, promoted Jericho Rangers scored their first win of the season, a 2-0 margin over Haddington Youth Club.
Jericho had scored just four goals in their previous five games before Vaughn Kirlew netted in the third minute and Devon Brackett in the 20th to give them maximum points for the first time this season.
