Diaz takes aim at Dover
Kirk Diaz (pictured beside his Mitsubishi Evolution), who will be in action today at the Carnival of Speed at Dover Raceway in St Ann today, started circuit racing at Dover in August 2008 after receiving IP 45 training at the raceway. The 45-year-old says that he developed a strong love for motor sports from childhood and wanted to race ever since. He credits Ferdinand Anderson of Anderson’s Auto, Elvis Reid and Cresmore White of Auto Source as people who had an influence on him in pursuing the sport. Diaz is the 2010 IP45 Forced Induction Dover overall class champion with four wins, a fifth, a third and a second place. He says that although he has not had any practice since the start of 2011, he thinks he still has a fair chance of winning some races this season.
