Semi-final spots in St James Football Claro Senior League to be decided today
MONTEGO BAY, St James – THE semi-final match-ups in the St James Football Association’s Claro Senior League will be decided this afternoon when the preliminary rounds will come to an end with two games.
Contenders Montego Bay Boys Club and Granville City are on 36 points each, two behind third-placed Violet Kickers and in pole positions to snatch the places alongside Fogo United and Little Miami.
Boys Club, last season’s Division One champions, will face Mt Villa at the UDC field, while Granville City and Salt Spring Roses will meet at West Green.
However, a slip-up by either would, see former champions Violet Kickers sneak into the semi-finals.
Little Miami booked their spot on Monday with a 2-1 win over Melbourne Strikers, who were eliminated from contention with the loss.
In the game played at Albion, Jermaine Bowen sent Little Miami into the lead in the 50th minute but Norman Foster equalised for Melbourne nine minutes later.
