Defending champs in front for LIME Cup
DEFENDING champions Advantage Generals assumed sole leadership after three rounds of action in the 2011 LIME Cup team match play golf championships.
The champs played joint first place Just Bet Springs in third round action at the Manchester Golf Club on Sunday and emerged 6-4 winners to move to nine points.
JustBet remain on six points following victories in two rounds.
Buccaneers beat LIME Lions to move to three points, while SportsMax MaxPak also moved to three points after victory over PanCaribbean Jaguars, who are also on three points.
Meanwhile, the teams of Sherisse Walker and Barbara Sampson, as well as John Brennon and Gordon Hutchinson of Advantage Generals; Kirby Rogers and David McNulty of JustBet Springs, and Allison Reid and Sally Roper of Appleton Estates all went two up.
The fourth and fifth rounds of the competition are set for the Caymanas Golf Club on July 16 with the final and consolation set for July 23 at the Cinnamon Hill course in Montego Bay.
