Flames FC clinch last semi-final spot
FALMOUTH, Trelawny — Flames FC clinched the fourth semi-final spot in the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League on Sunday after a massive 11-3 drubbing of Palmento at the Elliston Wakeland Centre.
The eight-goal margin of victory was exactly what Flames needed to edge Duanvale for the fourth spot in the semi-finals, as three teams ended their schedule on 34 points.
Flames had a 10-goal differential to Duanvale’s nine and Holland’s eight.
Flames will now face Invaders at Bunkers Hill in the two-way semi-finals that start on Thursday, while Granville and Kinloss will meet in the other game to be played at Friendship.
The return-leg games will be played on Sunday with the finals set for next week, July 14th and 17th.
