Jamaica falls in FIFA rankings
JAMAICA has fallen six places to 44 in the latest FIFA rankings, but remains the only Caribbean country inside the top 50.
World and European champion Spain stay top. Copa America winner Uruguay has risen to its highest place in fifth spot.
The latest monthly standings will be used to help decide seedings in Saturday’s World Cup qualifying draw.
Spain, the Netherlands and Germany lead the way, with Brazil rising one place to fourth despite only reaching the Copa America quarterfinals.
Sixth-place England and No 8 Italy both fall two places but are assured of top seeding in their qualifying groups.
Argentina stays at No 10 and Chile rises 16 spots to No 11. Mexico falls 11 to No 20, but leads the CONCACAF region as the United States drops six to No 30. Ivory Coast leads Africa at No 14, and No 16 Japan is top in Asia.
