Brazil edge past Traxx in Lloyd Plummer League
MAY PEN, Clarendon — Little Brazil recorded their first win in the Central Clarendon/INSPORTS/Lloyd Plummer Memorial Summer League after clipping Race Track 1-0 in Zone Two action on Thursday at West Park.
Sporting Central Academy striker Andre Allen lashed in the winner from inside the box on 56 minutes after the teams failed to break the deadlock at half-time.
Brazil have now improved their tally to four points, the same as West Park and Race Track (Traxx), but are third in the group owing to their inferior goal difference of plus one.
West Park share an identical goal average of plus two with Traxx, but lead the pool with a better scoring record.
The competition continues today at the same venue with Treadlight and Bushy Park jostling for top spot in Zone One.
Both teams scored 3-0 victories in their opening games to share the lead and will now look to set themselves apart with a win.
Match time is 3:00 pm.
