Introducing the new Sex And The City girls…

People Post

Almost two decades after emerging as a newspaper column — inspiring books, 94 TV episodes and subsequent films — Candace Bushnell’s Sex and the City remains a hot topic. Rumours were rife after the second film launched last year that another was on the cards, and now it has emerged that SATC 3 will go ahead with a new cast featuring some of Hollywood’s hottest talents.

Taking form as a prequel, the proposed project will be based on Bushnell’s two novels, The Carrie Diaries and Summer And The City (published this year) which track the four individuals in their teenage years and early twenties before they become a united female front in New York. It is rumoured that current preferences for the roles are Blake Lively as Samantha Jones, Selena Gomez as Charlotte York, Emma Roberts as Miranda Hobbes and Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie Bradshaw. The news will come as a blow to many who hoped the characters would be played by the original cast or that a third movie would follow.

50 Cent boasts he will ditch his record label

Most people worry about their employer firing them, not the other way around. But 50 Cent looks set to dump his record label after they failed to support the release of his fifth album appropriately.

The US rapper, real name Curtis James Jackson III, is now unsure if he will stay with Interscope Records following the release of Black Magic. The multi-platinum-selling artiste blasted the label for their lack of investment and for “moving in slow motion”, and is musing over whether or not to sign an additional contract with them after his current one expires.

He said: “I don’t know. It will all be clear in the negotiations following me turning this actual album in. And, of course, the performance and how they actually treat the work will determine whether you still want to stay in that position or not.” The 35-yearold, however, did say he would remain loyal if they invest properly. He told MTV: “If not, if you don’t have that support, why would you want to sign to another system? In the financial state that I’m in, you just do it yourself.” And in his upset, he has thrown a further wobbly, warning bosses that unless they work harder to make the release a success, he will put a hold on the new material due for release later this year.

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth split

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth split after two years together.

Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth have called an end to their relationship after nearly two years of dating. Their decision to split is said to have been “very mutual” according to Us Magazine. “It happened a while ago,” a source told the publication. Alexander, 34, and Kate, 28, were last pictured together back in April when they both attended the Coachella Music festival in Indio, California. Now the True Blood star is enjoying the single life and is reported to have flirted with a pretty brunette at a Comic Con party in San Diego last weekend. “He’s single,” confirms a source. “And he is loving the attention.” Alexander was at Comic Con to attend a panel for the hit HBO show in which he plays vampire Eric Northman. He looked relaxed as he joined fellow cast members Anna Paquin, Ryan Kwanten and Stephen Moyer at the fan convention. Meanwhile, 21’s actress Kate was earlier this month photographed hugging her ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom, who is now married to Australian model Miranda Kerr. However, the former couple will be seen on screen when their delayed thriller movie Straw Dogs is released in September.
